Born between March 5 and April 5 lambs are a mix of Icelandic, Corriedale, and a dairy mix creating a large Icelandic looking sheep. They are usually polled (no horns), have short tails, and their wool naturally felts easily and grows abundantly. Most lambs are solid white with a few colored lambs available each year.
Kids are often born beginning in January. Registration is available upon request for an added fee. We have very few kids available each year so make a reservation for your pick early. If you select a kid to purchase your deposit will be required. Boer goats naturally have horns. We do not disbud kids on the farm. Horn bud removal requires a veterinarian visit and an added fee.
Meat is available at GreenStar grocery store on Cascadilla Street in Ithaca, NY. At the Blue Spoon Farm we are raising meat sustainably with the help of our neighbors who are raising hay and grains. And, occasionally, our neighbors who offer their backyard for grazing the herd.

Each year increasing incidents of livestock theft is reported by our neighbors. Our dogs are on guard 24/7.
